Highest Praise Tabernacle (HPT), under God's direction, began on Sunday, November 15, 1998, in the
home of Pastor Mills and his lovely wife, April, outside Pikeville, North Carolina. The beginning
congregation consisted of twelve people. The church was built on the foundation of evangelism. Reaching
the lost for Jesus was and still is our greatest desire.

In February 1999, HPT moved into a newly remodeled storefront building on Walnut
Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The congregation had more than doubled with
outreachalso increasing greatly. Despite Satan's many attacks, HPT continued to
grow and expand. As the ministries increased, so did the resources to meet the
needs. Faith grewstronger as the challenges became greater.




about-us.htm In April 2000, HPT was tremendously favored again by the Lord to move into a
church facility on Highway 70 West near Princeton, North Carolina. The
congregation had grown to nearly fifty people who affectionately loved the
Lord. The property, consisting of a two hundred fifty seat sanctuary,
fellowship hall, classroom building, and paved parking lot on two acres of
land, was newly remodeled prior to moving in. To the glory of God, the note
was paid off in 18 months.



In April 2002, HPT purchased twenty-five acres of prime property a short
distance from the church on Highway 70 for future growth and expansion.
This note was paid off in July, 2005 again leaving Highest Priase a debt free
ministry. Many precious souls have been saved thus far through this God-lead
ministry, while multitudes of people have been touched and inspired by it.
There is no limit to what God can do if one has faith to simply believe and
follow.



A 12 X 50 trailer was purchased in 2001 and converted into two large
classrooms. In February 2003 HPT recieved a 60 x 24 double wide classroom
unit. The unit was completely remodeled and divided into four large
classrooms. God graceously continues to meet the needs of this ministry daily.





The childern's and teen ministry at HPT has growth tremendously since it's
begining. It is such an honor and joy to see childern becoming more and more
like Jesus due to the commitment of their leaders. I see a great future ahead
for the youth of Highest Praise!





In November 2007, we moved into our new building, God
is good! While we step into the future, God will give
great victory to those who are willing to fight the
battle. Great faith will always bring about great
growth. Hold on! The best is yet to come!
